Description

Sodium formate is an organic compound whose main functions and uses include: production in industries such as dyes,  pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, as well as serving as a preservative and souring agent for food and feed additives.

Application:

1. Used for production in industries such as dyes, pharmaceuticals,  and chemicals. Sodium formate is a sodium salt of formic acid that can serve as a catalyst and reducing agent for many  organic synthesis reactions. It is commonly used in the production of chemical products such as dyes, drugs, plastics,  etc.

2. As a preservative and souring agent for food and feed additives. Sodium formate can prevent food and feed from  spoiling and extend their shelf life. It can also serve as an acid flavoring agent to enhance the taste of food and feed.

It should be noted that sodium formate is a strong reducing agent that can react violently when in contact with oxidants.  Therefore, when storing and using it, attention should be paid to fire prevention, moisture prevention, sun protection,  and avoiding mixing with other chemicals. In the addition of food and feed, it must be used in accordance with relevant  regulations and cannot be used in excess.
